About

We publish and circulate a quarterly magazine focusing on news that matters to our Skelmersdale community. We spotlight worthy causes from around the town, and celebrate the successes of our local community. Our magazine offers lifestyle and health insights, travel inspiration and a chance for our readers to get involved with our Pawsome Pets Competition!

We aim to connect people in Skelmersdale, inspire them and celebrate them.

We offer free training sessions in various forms such as free CPR and First Aid, CBT & Life Coaching, and free training to help improve skills to help someone become more employable.

We also offer a range of arts, craft, writing and drawing workshops, along with comic book club and Community Cuppas drop-ins.

Venue hire available Mon, Tues, Sunday. Workshops subject to change.

What’s the Buzz?

It's the sound of thousands of people across West Lancs making a difference every day.

It’s people helping their neighbours, volunteers running a community group, faith groups serving their local communities, social enterprises showing ethical ways of doing business.

The voluntary sector in West Lancs has an impressive history of delivering activities and services that have become vital to the well-being of many.

Our Directory showcases this local support and activity, and the CVS is proud to be the key local body supporting and developing this amazing work over the past 50 years.

This is just the start for the Directory– we need you to get involved to make sure all the fantastic groups that make West Lancs such a buzzing place are in it!
