Age of Opportunity - Lancashire Mind

About

The Age of Opportunity project has been designed specifically to meet the needs of over 50s who would like to work but are unable to without additional skills or support. A core focus for this project is supporting older people who are most at risk of social exclusion, for example; due to mental or physical health difficulties, homelessness or being full-time carers.

Delivery partners work with participants to understand their interests, aspirations and barriers to work or training. Each individual is then directed within our network for specialist support that will help them to engage in work readiness activity.

It’s people helping their neighbours, volunteers running a community group, faith groups serving their local communities, social enterprises showing ethical ways of doing business.

Our Directory showcases this local support and activity, and the CVS is proud to be the key local body supporting and developing this amazing work over the past 50 years.
