About

Home Start Central Lancashire is a family support service that offers practical parenting support to families including one child under the age of 11.

We work across Central Lancashire, including West Lancashire, Chorley, South Ribble and Preston.

We support families with a wide range of areas including:
* Practical, emotional and behavioural support
* Providing information, guidance, and advice around boundaries, routines, parenting techniques, household management cooking and nutrition.
* Signposting to other agencies with the local area who can provide support
* Advocate in various meetings including education and medical
* Help parents through a SEND diagnosis
* Relationship work, including parent and parent, or parent and child.

We are always looking for volunteers to help to support our service. If you have 2-3 hours per week to spare and you would like to give something back to your local community, please get in touch.

About West Lancs CVS

West Lancashire Council for Voluntary Services is a charity, set up in 1973, and is the key infrastructure organisation for voluntary and community groups in West Lancashire.

We help local people set up and develop voluntary and community groups, and network with other organisations.

We recruit volunteers for local organisations and support people to volunteer through our accredited Volunteer Centre. Find out more here.
