Hope Street
About
Hope Street was created to support those suffering from poor mental health, particularly anxiety and depression. It is a place dedicated to helping others feel valued, inspired and most importantly accepted. Our goal is to ensure that everyone who walks through our doors feels welcome and their experience with us provides a sense of belonging, inspiration and hope.
We also realise that mental illness doesn’t only affect those with poor mental health but those who care for their loved ones on a day to day basis. Hope Street gives carers the opportunity to be around others experiencing similar situations, feelings and loneliness.
Our aim is to ensure anyone who visits Hope Street leaves feeling better than when they first walked through the door. Overall we aim to prevent mental health escalation, aid recovery, and close a gap in statutory services. All our services are managed by qualified professionals who all have lived experience in the areas our beneficiaries require support in.
Our weekly activities are wide ranging and currently include: community cafe, peer support, parent support, arts and crafts, tai chi, dementia cafe, LGBTQIA+ support. Please see website for details.
