Skelmersdale Writers’ Group meets on the 4th Monday of the month at the Trinity Methodist Church Hall, High St, Skelmersdale, WN8 8AT at 7.30 pm. They also hold a daytime meeting in Skelmersdale Library on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 2 pm.

The Writers' Group aims to encourage and support writers and provide writing activities through meetings. It is a friendly mixed group of writers whose ages range from 16 to 60 plus. Members range from novice writers to experienced and published authors whose interests include, poetry, short stories, novels and non fiction writing.

The aim is to cater for all types of writing and writer and to provide events of interest to the wider local community. Visitors are always welcome and may attend three meetings before being asked to subscribe to the group.

About West Lancs CVS

West Lancashire Council for Voluntary Services is a charity, set up in 1973, and is the key infrastructure organisation for voluntary and community groups in West Lancashire.
