Skem Men-aces CIC

About

The Skem Men-Aces is a football team solely for adults with varying degrees of disabilities based in Skelmersdale.

Our club of 60+ members has been in existence since July 2009 and has had tremendous success over our few short years*.

We want to support and help Super Humans living in Lancashire, to make new friends, have fun, and experience life to the maximum through sport, and by creating new and challenging experiences.

You will find us to be a positive bunch, who believe that sport, unique opportunities and friendship can change the world and make it better for everyone.
We focus on strengths rather than disability and will think outside the box to support Super Human people in exploring new recreations and exclusive challenges, to enhance lives and bring out true potential.

We travel all over the country to compete in competitions and are proud to have a very full trophy cabinet.

*We've been featured in local and national media and won a magnificent Silver medal at the Special Olympics National Games held in Bath 2013.
Founder Carl Eaton won BBC North West Unsung hero award and more recently the Queens Award for Volunteer Service.
