What’s the Buzz?

It's the sound of thousands of people across West Lancs making a difference every day.

It’s people helping their neighbours, volunteers running a community group, faith groups serving their local communities, social enterprises showing ethical ways of doing business.

The voluntary sector in West Lancs has an impressive history of delivering activities and services that have become vital to the well-being of many.

Our Directory showcases this local support and activity, and the CVS is proud to be the key local body supporting and developing this amazing work over the past 50 years.

About West Lancs CVS

West Lancashire Council for Voluntary Services is a charity, set up in 1973, and is the key infrastructure organisation for voluntary and community groups in West Lancashire.

  • We help local people set up and develop voluntary and community groups, and network with other organisations.
  • We recruit volunteers for local organisations and support people to volunteer through our accredited Volunteer Centre. Find out more here.
